The last time Claudia was at our house, we went out to the garden and found a couple frogs in the frog pond, their heads peering above the water amongst the water lilies. I was approaching very quietly and slowly, knowing from experience that the frogs were skittish and would dive under if I got too close. Claudia was chuckling and saying how she liked to pet frogs. It seemed to me an unlikely possibility, but she knelt down and then gently reached down and started lightly stroking the frog's head. The frog remained perfectly still, as if he knew and trusted this old friend!
